WHERE Our story BEGAN..
Kittiwake Charters is owned and operated by two local families who are passionate about North Devon and the coastal ‘community’ both above and below the waves.
The origins of the business can be traced back to when the principal Directors worked together as volunteer Coastguard Rescue Officers for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Early discussions took place about the possibility of an alternative environmental charter service operating from Ilfracombe Harbour, and in 2023 Kittiwake Charters Limited was launched!
Promoting and protecting the marine environment are at the forefront of the activities on offer with a focus on responsible wildlife observation, conservation, and education. Plastic fishing and remote beach cleaning will replace traditional sporting pursuits and offer an alternative for casual visitors, corporate clients, and educational institutions.
Meet THE KITTI Team
Kittiwake Charters Limited is jointly owned by Dave and Mike who first met a volunteer Coastguard Rescue Officers stationed at Ilfracombe and Lynmouth respectively. With very different but complementary skills Dave and Mike run and operate the business with the active involvement of their partners and family members.
