Wow!
What an incredible way to kickstart our 2025 charter season. Heres a little look at what we have been up to lately..
On Saturday the 17th, we had the pleasure of hosting a local family gathering at Lundy Island for a classic get-together! We were fortunate to enjoy calm seas and beautiful weather. The atmosphere was truly exceptional. Here's what they shared about the experience:
"An unforgettable day with Kittiwake Charters!
We had a truly fabulous experience with Kittiwake Charters — they went above and beyond to make an already special day even more memorable. Dave and Jenson were incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about Lundy Island and its wildlife.
A real highlight was reaching Jenny’s Cove, where we were lucky enough to see hundreds of puffins and other seabirds, and even had the amazing opportunity to swim with seals — a magical experience for all of us!
We also enjoyed time ashore exploring Lundy itself before cruising back along the stunning Mortehoe and Lee coastline. With a group ranging in age, it’s not always easy to please everyone — but this trip absolutely did. Every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended!"
On Monday, May 26th, we welcomed groups from near and far to explore Lundy Island and swim with seals. Once again, we were blessed with calm seas, allowing us to have a truly magical experience in Jenny's Cove. We also spotted hundreds of puffins to enhance our bird count!
On Tuesday, 27th May, we collaborated with Lundy Diving, another local charter boat company. We had the pleasure of bringing a group of local doctors to Lundy Island for an unforgettable swim with seals and an opportunity to observe puffins enjoying the splendid May sunshine! It was an ideal combination of wildlife, sea air, and well-deserved relaxation for some of our outstanding medical professionals.
On Wednesday, May 28th, we had the pleasure of welcoming some exceptionally talented photographers aboard the Kittiwake. We spent the day navigating around the island, visiting secluded bays that aren't accessible by land, and observing the renowned wildlife. The highlight of our trip was spotting two peregrine falcons!
Plenty of tea has been consumed along with a few biscuits (at least by Dave and Jenson).
