What an incredible 2026 season it’s been so far!
From the very first trip of the season, we’ve been lucky enough to welcome so many fantastic people aboard Kittiwake Charters. Meeting new faces, sharing our passion for the sea, and showcasing our beautiful coastline and incredible wildlife is what makes every trip so special.
The wildlife certainly hasn’t disappointed this year. We’ve enjoyed countless encounters with playful dolphins and curious seals, while our seabird colonies have been bustling with puffins, gannets, razorbills and guillemots.
It’s also been a season full of unforgettable surprises. We’ve been incredibly fortunate to spot two magnificent minke whales, witness sunfish basking at the surface, and even watch tuna launching themselves clear of the water—a spectacular sight that never gets old!
This has officially been our busiest season yet, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing guests and hardworking crew. Behind every trip there’s plenty of preparation, teamwork… and, of course, a seemingly endless supply of tea and biscuits to keep everyone going!
A special highlight this season was celebrating Jenson’s 22nd birthday. There really wasn’t anywhere he’d rather have been than out on the water, doing what he loves most—sharing our beautiful coastline and its amazing wildlife with everyone on board.
We also want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to Mike. While many people see the trips out on the water, Mike is the one working tirelessly behind the scenes, doing everything people don’t sea. From all the jobs that keep Kittiwake Charters running smoothly to the countless hours of hard work that often go unnoticed, his dedication is second to none. We are beyond grateful for everything he does.

Finally, to everyone who has joined us this year—whether you’re a returning guest or it was your very first adventure with us—thank you. Your support, enthusiasm and kind words mean the world to us, and we’re so grateful to have shared these amazing experiences with you.
With plenty of the season still to come, we’re excited to see what other wildlife encounters and unforgettable memories await. Here’s to calm seas, incredible sightings, more cups of tea, plenty of biscuits, and many more adventures aboard Kittiwake Charters.

We can’t wait to welcome you on board!
Skipper Dave
